From passion to partnership
Oratile Matlala , Ntokozo Dube, and Simphiwe Msila, three passionate individuals with a shared vision, came together to form ONS Creative Solutions – a tiling and painting company that is making waves in Soweto. Their journey began at Emdeni Skills Development Centre, as Tiling and Painting students. The course at Emdeni Skills Development Centre helped them develop a strategy for starting and growing their business; it provided the trio with hands-on experience; taught them how to approach projects professionally and it gave them the confidence to believe in themselves and their abilities.
As they began working on projects, they faced challenges, but their determination and teamwork helped them overcome these challenges. They have worked on several painting and tiling jobs for clients who were impressed with their work. “The company’s unique selling point is our attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence,” they said. The company also gives back to its community by painting for the underprivileged free of charge and engage in one-on-one interactions with their communities to improve their services.
The trio hope that their business will have a positive impact on their community, especially among young people. They want to inspire others to take risks and pursue their passions. They credit the course and team at Emdeni Skills Development Centre with teaching them the importance of discipline and excellence. They stay motivated by staying strong through hardships, being disciplined at all times, and trusting in their abilities. Through their journey, Oratile, Ntokozo, and Simphiwe have learned valuable lessons and they plan to continue to give back to their community.
As they look to the future, they are grateful to donors, Emdeni Skills Development Centre, their mentors, and their AKB family for supporting them on their journey. We are proud of what they have achieved and are excited to see what the future holds for ONS Creative Solutions. Van passie tot vennootskap
Oratile Matlala, Ntokozo Dube en Simphiwe Msila, drie passievolle individue met ‘n gedeelde visie, het saamgespan om ONS Creative Solutions te vorm – ‘n Teël- en Verfmaatskappy wat golwe in Soweto maak. Hul reis het by die Emdeni Vaardigheidsontwikkelingsentrum begin, as Teël- en Verfstudente. Die kursus by die Emdeni Vaardigheidsontwikkelingsentrum het hulle gehelp om ‘n strategie te ontwikkel vir die begin en groei van hul besigheid. Behalwe vir die praktiese ervaring het die kursus die trio toegerus met vaardighede om projekte professioneel te benader.
Hulle selfvertroue en vasberadenheid het hulle gehelp om die aanvanklike uitdagings en struikelblokke te oorkom. Kliënte is beindruk met hulle werk en beveel die trio graag aan. “Die maatskappy se unieke verkooppunt is ons aandag aan detail en toewyding aan die lewering van uitnemendheid,” het hulle gesê. Die maatskappy gee ook terug aan sy gemeenskap deur gratis verfwerk vir die minderbevoorregtes te doen.
Die trio hoop dat hul besigheid ‘n positiewe impak op hul gemeenskap sal hê, veral die jongmense. Hulle wil ander inspireer om risiko’s te neem en hul passies na te jaag. Hulle gee die kursus en span by die Emdeni Vaardigheidsontwikkelingsentrum krediet vir die lesse in die waarde van dissipline en uitnemendheid. Hulle bly gemotiveerd deur sterk te staan deur ontberinge, te alle tye gedissiplineerd te wees en op hul vermoëns te vertrou. Deur hul reis het Oratile, Ntokozo en Simphiwe waardevolle lesse geleer en hulle beplan om voort te gaan om terug te gee aan hul gemeenskap.
Terwyl hulle na die toekoms kyk, is hulle dankbaar teenoor die donateurs, Emdeni Vaardigheidsontwikkelingsentrum, hul mentors en hul AKB familie vir die ondersteuning op hul reis. Hulle is trots op wat hulle bereik het en is opgewonde om te sien wat die toekoms vir ONS Creative Solutions inhou. Hul storie dien as ‘n inspirasie vir ander en bewys dat die nodige ondersteuning, regte opleiding, positiewe ingesteldheid en goeie vennootskap tot sukses lei.
